How to Extract Email Addresses from a Company Website

On this page

Start with pages relevant to your enquiry

A company may publish contact addresses on its contact, about, team, press or careers pages. Its homepage footer can also contain an email link. Choose pages relevant to your purpose: an address for legal enquiries is not necessarily a sales contact.

Email Extractor collects addresses present in content it can read. It does not guess staff addresses from names, generate company email patterns or verify that a mailbox exists.

  1. Open Email Extractor and choose Webpages.
  2. Enter the public URLs you want to check.
  3. Under Pages to load, choose Entered pages only for those URLs, or Include important linked pages for a bounded same-site scan.
  4. Review the downloading notice and allow our server to download those public pages.
  5. Click Load webpages and wait for the page results.
  6. Click Extract emails, review the addresses and download your list.

The app accepts up to 10 websites, with up to 25 pages per website. In the linked-page mode, entered pages come first, followed by prioritized same-site links such as contact, about and team pages. Sitemap and feed links can help discover additional pages. This does not mean every page on the website will be visited.

For a focused enquiry, entering the exact contact and team URLs can reduce unnecessary requests. Use the site's navigation to find them rather than assuming that every company uses /contact or /team.

JavaScript content and blocked pages

Load content added by JavaScript uses a browser on our server and can take longer. It may help when addresses are added after the initial HTML loads. It does not use your personal browser cookies and cannot guarantee access to a protected website.

If a page is blocked, open it in your own browser. You can paste readable text into Text and files, or use the optional browser extension to capture accessible content after you open the page. Import its capture through Import browser capture in Webpages.

The extension can read accessible loaded content, not hidden or unloaded records. See why a website blocks extraction for recovery options.

When there are no addresses

A contact form does not necessarily expose its receiving email address. A scan can find no emails even when the company accepts enquiries. Use the form when that is the company's published contact method.

An address may also exist in a mailto: link rather than visible text. Linked PDFs can contain useful contacts; download those documents and extract them separately through Text and files.

Review sources before using the list

Check whether each address belongs to a person, shared inbox or specialist department. CSV with sources preserves the pages associated with the result. A matching address pattern is not a mailbox verification, and a published contact address is not automatic permission for marketing. Read the privacy guide before reusing a list.
