How to Extract Emails from Your LinkedIn Connections Export
On this page
Export only the information LinkedIn provides
LinkedIn offers an account-data download that can include your first-degree connections. Email addresses are included only when the connection's privacy settings permit downloading them. An empty email field is a real limitation of the export, not something Email Extractor can recover from a name or profile URL.
There is no fixed percentage of connections whose addresses will appear. Do not treat a connection as an automatic newsletter subscriber or assume that downloading an address authorizes every later use.
Request your account archive
Follow LinkedIn's current account-download instructions. On desktop, open Settings & Privacy, then Data privacy, and find the option to download your data. Choose a category or archive that includes connections and request it.
Use the download notification when the archive is ready. Available choices and preparation times can vary; follow the instructions shown in your account rather than expecting an exact delivery time.
Unzip the archive on your own computer and locate the connections CSV. Inspect its headings and a few rows. Keep that original file because it preserves names, organizations and connection dates that an email-only export does not retain as separate contact fields.
Extract the addresses
- Open Text and files in Email Extractor.
- Upload the connections CSV.
- Click Extract emails.
- Review the results and download your preferred format.
The CSV reader scans the file's text for addresses, not just a column named Email Address. If other columns contain addresses, they can appear too. Use CSV + sources when you need input references, and compare uncertain results with the original row.
Files are processed in your browser. The limits are 25 MB per file and 100 MB per batch. You can select other authorized supported files in the same file batch to deduplicate addresses, but that does not preserve every CRM field or merge complete contact records.
Keep the context when using the list
A matching email does not prove a current employer, job title or active mailbox. Check the information needed for your intended purpose rather than inferring it from an old connection record.
When importing into a CRM, keep the original names and relationship notes through the CRM's normal import process. Email Extractor produces an address list; it does not reconstruct a person-by-person LinkedIn database.
Respect existing preferences and choose a relevant contact method. If the export omits an address, use LinkedIn's permitted messaging options or the person's stated public contact route. Do not use a naming pattern to invent a replacement.
