Email Extraction for Ecommerce: Finding Supplier and Buyer Contacts
On this page
Separate suppliers, buyers and existing customers
An ecommerce business may need an order desk, wholesale application channel, logistics contact or existing customer's chosen address. These have different purposes and should not be combined into one undifferentiated outreach list.
Start with the task: sourcing a product, resolving an invoice, applying to supply a retailer or reviewing contacts already held in your system. That determines which records belong in the extraction.
Use sources suited to the task
Supplier catalogues and price lists may contain sales, order and billing addresses. Existing invoices can identify an accounting contact but do not necessarily identify a purchasing decision-maker.
Retailers may publish vendor application pages or forms instead of individual buyer addresses. Follow that process when it is the intended channel. A trade directory or marketplace can offer a messaging system without exposing an email; extraction cannot reveal its hidden recipient.
For existing customer records, use the exports you are entitled to access and preserve their preferences and suppression status. An order-confirmation address is not automatically a newsletter subscriber.
Extract supported documents
Open Email Extractor, choose Text and files, upload the relevant files and click Extract emails. Supported inputs include text-based PDFs, CSV, spreadsheets and DOCX. Each file is limited to 25 MB and each batch to 100 MB.
A catalogue with image-only contact details needs OCR before those details can be read. Download CSV with sources when you need to trace results back to a catalogue, invoice or export.
Check public pages and permitted captures
In Webpages, enter selected public URLs, choose a page scope, review and allow server downloading, then click Load webpages. Click Extract emails after loading. Runs support up to 10 websites and 25 pages per website.
Use the optional extension for accessible loaded pages you open yourself, or use a permitted platform export. It does not bypass missing permissions or guarantee that every listing in a marketplace will be captured.
Add product and relationship context
Create a reviewed worksheet with organization, product category, source date, enquiry purpose and contact channel. Use the original records to confirm those fields. The app does not join catalogue text, company names and extracted addresses into enriched supplier records.
Keep billing contacts separate from sourcing contacts and customers. Repeated addresses are combined, but that does not merge their surrounding business records or establish independent relationships.
Review before reuse
Supplier catalogues and retail teams change. Check a current published channel before relying on an old invoice or directory. Keep customer opt-outs when rebuilding lists and follow marketplace rules on external contact.
