Working with the Results

Migrate to another platform

If switching from Kit to Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, MailerLite or another platform, extract and import subscribers.

Import into a CRM

Import subscriber emails into HubSpot, Pipedrive or another CRM for relationship management alongside sales data.

Cross-reference across sources

Upload Kit subscriber exports alongside exports from other tools (Shopify customers, Calendly bookings, form submissions). Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Confirm subscription or membership status in the original records; matching addresses alone do not establish a current active membership.

Re-engage inactive subscribers

Export subscribers who have not opened emails in a defined period. Use the extracted list for a re-engagement campaign through another channel.

Verify addresses

Creator audiences can include old or abandoned email addresses. Verification before re-engagement is recommended. See Best email verification services.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, tags, subscription dates, custom fields and statuses are not carried over.

Subscriber states

Kit subscribers can be active, inactive (cancelled/unsubscribed) or complained. The export may include all states depending on filters applied.

Cold subscribers

Kit allows marking subscribers as "cold" (inactive). These may or may not be included in the default export.

Kit vs. ConvertKit

Kit was previously named ConvertKit. The export process is the same regardless of which name the platform uses in your account.
