How to Extract Emails from Omnisend Automations

On this page

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.

Why Extract from Omnisend Automations?

Omnisend is an email and SMS marketing platform built for ecommerce. Its automation workflows handle welcome series, abandoned cart recovery, post-purchase follow-ups, browse abandonment, win-back campaigns, order confirmations and more. Subscribers enter these workflows based on triggers tied to their shopping behavior.

Extracting email addresses from Omnisend automation data is useful for auditing which subscribers went through a specific workflow, building follow-up segments, sharing data with teams outside Omnisend or comparing automation performance.

While the general Omnisend export is covered in Extract Emails from Omnisend Export, this article focuses on automation-specific data.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, tags, purchase history, subscription channels and other Omnisend data are not carried over.

Active vs. completed subscribers

Make sure you export the right group: subscribers currently in the automation or those who have completed it.

Multiple automations

A subscriber can be in multiple automations simultaneously. They appear once in the extracted list after deduplication.

SMS-only contacts

Omnisend supports email and SMS. Contacts who are SMS-only (no email address) produce no results in email extraction.
