How to Import Extracted Emails into Less Annoying CRM

On this page

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.

Why Import into Less Annoying CRM?

Less Annoying CRM (LACRM) is a simple, affordable CRM designed for small businesses. It provides contact management, calendar and task management, pipeline tracking, email logging, groups, custom fields and reporting. LACRM has a single plan with all features included and no per-feature upsells.

After extracting email addresses with Email Extractor, you can import them into Less Annoying CRM to create contact records, organise them into groups, track them through pipelines and manage your relationships.

Preparing the File

Email Extractor gives you three download formats:

TXT file. One email per line.

CSV file. One column of email addresses. Works for LACRM import.

CSV with sources. Two columns: email and source file. Map only the email column during import.

For Less Annoying CRM, CSV is the recommended format.

How to Import

  1. Log in to Less Annoying CRM.
  2. Go to Settings then Import.
  3. Upload the CSV file.
  4. Map the email column to the Email field.
  5. Choose how to handle duplicates.
  6. Optionally assign imported contacts to a group.
  7. Review and start the import.
  8. LACRM processes the file and shows how many contacts were created.

After Import

Organise into groups

LACRM uses groups to organise contacts (similar to tags or lists in other CRMs). Add imported contacts to groups that represent their source, status or category.

Add to a pipeline

Create pipeline entries for imported contacts to track them through sales stages.

Set tasks and follow-ups

Create tasks and calendar events for follow-up with imported contacts.

Email logging

LACRM supports email logging by BCC. When emailing imported contacts, BCC the LACRM logging address to record the conversation in the contact timeline.

Verify addresses

Consider verifying the extracted list before importing. See Best email verification services.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, companies, phone numbers and other details will be blank after import. Add this data manually.

Simple pricing

LACRM has one plan at a flat per-user price with no contact limits on paid accounts. There are no tiers or feature restrictions.

No built-in email marketing

LACRM does not include email marketing features (campaigns, sequences, newsletters). For marketing, import the extracted list into a dedicated email platform (Mailchimp, MailerLite).

Groups

Groups in LACRM function like tags or categories. A contact can belong to multiple groups. Use groups for segmentation and filtering.

Custom fields

LACRM supports custom fields on contacts. These can store additional data but will be empty when importing email-only data.

Email Extractor does not establish consent

Extracting email addresses does not create permission to send marketing emails. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
