B2B Data Provider Comparison: ZoomInfo, Apollo, Cognism, Lusha, Clearbit and More

Compare the Workflow Before the Database Size
B2B data tools can find contact details, enrich existing records or coordinate lookups across other providers. Those are different jobs. Choose a shortlist around the fields and export rights you need, then evaluate it on the same target accounts.
This comparison was revised on 8 October 2026 using the official references linked below. It is a documentation review, not a hands-on accuracy benchmark. No provider is ranked as the largest, most accurate or automatically compliant.
What to Evaluate by Provider
| Provider | Documented capability | What to check in a trial or quote |
|---|---|---|
| Apollo | Contact search and CSV export, with a verified-email export option | Enrichment before export, email status, export credits and the exact plan |
| ZoomInfo | Company/contact search, buyer intent and CRM enrichment listed on its corporate site | Required modules, sample coverage, export rights and a written quote |
| Cognism | Prospecting and enrichment, with manually validated mobile numbers in its Diamond Data offering | Which records receive phone verification, target-country coverage and package limits |
| Lusha | Contact reveal credits, browser extension and CRM integrations | Email versus phone credit costs, available fields and integration permissions |
| HubSpot enrichment / Clearbit context | Enrichment of contact and company records inside HubSpot | Eligible records, current subscriptions, settings and property overwrite rules |
| Clay | Sequential lookups across multiple external providers | Provider order, match criteria, verification and per-action costs |
| Seamless.AI | Saved-contact CSV downloads with Clean, Raw and Custom options | Which output includes invalid fields and which email columns are exported |
| UpLead | Real-time email checking during download/export | Verification statuses, exclusions and the applicable written credit terms |
Apollo’s CSV export documentation explains that existing records are not automatically enriched during export. ZoomInfo lists its search, intent and enrichment offerings on its corporate overview. Neither statement demonstrates comparative coverage or accuracy.
Cognism describes manual validation of selected mobile numbers in its data and compliance documentation; this is not verification of every email or permission to contact every record. Its pricing page describes contact credits and packages. Lusha’s pricing FAQ distinguishes email and phone reveals, so equal credit counts do not imply equal quantities of usable contacts.
For HubSpot, use the current enrichment setup guide rather than assuming a legacy Clearbit API or a particular HubSpot tier includes every capability. Clay’s waterfall documentation describes trying providers in sequence; more filled fields do not by themselves establish higher accuracy.
Seamless’s CSV guide distinguishes Clean and Raw downloads. UpLead’s verification and credits article explains real-time verification during export. An accuracy slogan is not a delivery guarantee or a universal refund policy.
Run a Comparable Evaluation
- Define the same target industries, countries, company sizes and roles for each provider.
- Request a sample and record the date, filters, missing fields and verification statuses. Keep unmatched records in the denominator.
- Check current employment against your source records. Evaluate email results separately from phone results.
- Record credits and total costs for the sample, including export, enrichment, verification, seats and required add-ons.
- Test your actual CRM mapping, duplicate handling, suppression rules and overwrite controls.
- Ask for current sourcing, privacy, opt-out and contract documentation. Route legal questions about the planned use to the responsible reviewer.
A vendor’s privacy programme does not supply consent or make every outreach workflow lawful. This guide does not assess legal compliance or rank vendors by it.
Consolidate Exports with Email Extractor
Keep the original exports for names, job titles, dates, consent and verification statuses. Upload copies to Email Extractor to combine email strings and remove exact case-insensitive duplicates. Download CSV with sources to inspect which exports share an address.
A unique email string is not a unique person, a verified mailbox or an eligible prospect. Reconcile the extracted addresses with original records and suppression lists before importing them into another system.
