Extract emails from an open page with the browser extension
On this page
The free extension reads content you choose in your own browser. No account or token is needed. It is useful when a page is readable in the browser but the webpage loader cannot retrieve it.
Choose what to read
Open the source website before starting a new read. For a long scan, open Reader window first. Choose Edit extraction settings to adjust the next read.
In Page emails, click Read this page to read loaded text, email links and accessible embedded pages. Select text on the website first and check Read only selected text for a smaller selection. On Google Sheets, Read sheet tab tries the current tab’s CSV export, up to 5 MB, subject to Google’s download permissions. If the export is unavailable, the extension checks text exposed on the open page and marks any result as partial. Canvas-only cells and unloaded rows may be missing. Other sheet tabs are not read. If recovery finds no emails, your saved list is kept and the extension explains what failed.
Scan more loaded content scrolls available page content for up to 20 seconds, then restores the scroll position. This can include more virtualized content. It does not click pagination, record actions or other buttons, switch views, reveal hidden fields or guarantee every row.
In Choose website pages, click Find website pages, tick the pages to read, then click Read selected pages. The current page is included, with a limit of 25 pages including accessible embeds. Resource limits or website restrictions may stop reading sooner. Linked pages are downloaded without running their scripts. Spreadsheet tabs and other table views are not opened.
For copied email cells, pasted text or an allowed file export, choose Open text and file extractor and use Text and files in the main app. Names alone and E-mail buttons that expose no address cannot be turned into email addresses. A restricted export or inaccessible embedded page may require help from the owner.
Move a result into the main app
Review Saved emails, then choose Download with sources to download email-engine-page.json. Open the main extractor’s Webpages tab, choose Import browser capture and select that JSON file. The import preserves source information. Copy emails, Download TXT and the JSON download all use the emails matching your search. With a filter, the JSON action is called Download matching emails with sources. Clear the search to export the whole saved list.
Extraction is initiated by your action. The extension processes addresses on your device. Its selected-page requests may use your existing site session, but it does not read cookie values or collect your browsing history. Do not treat this as permission to read someone else's account or bypass a site's access controls.
Installation and saved emails
The current extension is a development build for Chrome and Edge, not a store-published installation. Follow the extension setup instructions and load the unzipped folder rather than the ZIP file itself.
Add to saved emails is checked when you have a list. Uncheck it to replace that list. Adding results removes duplicates and retains up to 25 page sources. Saved emails, source URLs and titles are stored in this extension in this browser on your device. Delete all saved emails removes the entire list, even when a search is active. Undo delete and Download deleted emails are available until that popup or reader window closes. Undo keeps any newer results saved by another reader. Deleting does not remove downloaded files or History in the main app. Original page content is not retained. For longer scans, open Reader window before starting. It stays connected to the chosen website tab while you return to the website. Keep the popup or reader open until reading finishes. Closing either stops its unfinished work; reopen the extension from the website and start again if needed.
You can search, copy, download and delete saved emails without keeping the source website open. Open that website again when you want to read new content.
