How to Extract Emails from Attio Automations

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs.

Why Extract from Attio Automations?

Attio is a CRM that uses automations to trigger actions based on record changes, deal stage transitions and relationship signals. Automations can update attributes, send notifications, assign owners and move records between stages. Records processed by these automations contain contact email addresses tied to specific workflow criteria.

While the general Attio export is covered in Extract Emails from Attio Export and deal data in Extract Emails from Attio Deals, this article focuses on automation-specific exports for workflow-driven lists.

How to Export from Attio

Filtering by automation criteria

  1. Log in to Attio.
  2. Go to a collection (People, Companies or a custom object).
  3. Use filters to match the criteria your automations use (deal stage, attribute value, last interaction date).
  4. Select all filtered records.
  5. Export as CSV.

Using views

  1. Create a view with filters matching your automation triggers.
  2. Apply the view to see only the relevant records.
  3. Export the view as CSV.

Using the Attio API

  1. Use the List Records endpoint with filter parameters.
  2. Filter by attributes, lists or relationship data.
  3. Each person record includes the email address.
  4. Save results as JSON.

How to Extract the Email Addresses

  1. Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
  2. Select "Text and files."
  3. Upload the CSV file from Attio. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
  4. Click "Extract emails."
  5. Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
  6. Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.

Working with the Results

Stage-based outreach

Extract emails from contacts at specific deal stages. Each stage's contact list serves different outreach purposes.

Signal-based lists

Export contacts filtered by relationship signals (recently interacted, new connections, stale relationships). Use for signal-appropriate follow-up.

Import into email marketing

Import automation-filtered contact emails into Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign or another platform for campaigns.

Verify addresses

Contact emails from active relationships are typically valid. Older records may need verification. See Best email verification services.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, companies, deal stages, attributes and other Attio fields are not carried over.

Relationship-first CRM

Attio automatically enriches records with interaction data from email and calendar. Exports may include both internal team and external contact addresses.
