How to Extract Emails from Klaviyo Flows

On this page

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.

Why Extract from Klaviyo Flows?

Klaviyo Flows are automated email and SMS sequences triggered by events like purchases, sign-ups, cart abandonment, browse behavior, price drops and custom events. Each flow tracks which profiles entered, received messages, engaged or converted.

While general Klaviyo exports are covered in Extract Emails from Klaviyo Export and segments in Extract Emails from Klaviyo Segments, this article focuses on flow-specific data for targeting contacts based on automation engagement.

How to Export from Klaviyo

  2. Go to Audience then Lists & Segments.
  3. Create a segment based on flow activity (e.
  4. Export the segment as CSV.

Using Klaviyo Analytics

  1. Go to Flows.
  2. Select a flow.
  3. Review flow analytics (recipients, opens, clicks, revenue).
  4. Create a segment based on the flow's trigger event or engagement for export.

Using the Klaviyo API

  1. Use the Profiles API with segment filters based on flow activity.
  2. Create a segment via the Segments API matching flow criteria.
  3. Export the segment members.
  4. Each profile includes the email address.
  5. Save results as JSON.

Using integrations

Klaviyo integrates with Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and other ecommerce platforms. Flow trigger data often originates from these integrations. Export from either platform for flow-specific lists.

How to Extract the Email Addresses

  1. Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
  2. Select "Text and files."
  3. Upload the CSV file from Klaviyo. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
  4. Click "Extract emails."
  5. Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
  6. Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.

Working with the Results

Flow performance analysis

Extract emails from profiles who entered a specific flow. Compare against profiles who converted to measure flow effectiveness.

Non-converter follow-up

Extract emails from profiles who received a flow but did not convert. Import into another platform for alternative messaging.

Cross-flow analysis

Export profiles from multiple flows and upload together. Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Use the original campaign records to measure engagement frequency; repeated address text is not a count of human opens or clicks.

Import into CRM

Import flow-targeted profile emails into HubSpot, Salesforce or another CRM for relationship tracking.

Verify addresses

Klaviyo profile emails are usually valid since flow messages are sent to those addresses. Bounced profiles are already suppressed. See Best email verification services.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, flow names, engagement data, revenue and other Klaviyo fields are not carried over.

Flows vs. campaigns vs. segments

Flows are triggered automations. Campaigns are one-time sends. Segments are audience groups. Each serves a different export purpose.
