How to Extract Emails from MailerLite Subscribers
On this page
Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.
Why Extract from MailerLite?
MailerLite is an email marketing platform that provides email campaigns, automations, landing pages, websites, pop-ups, surveys, subscriber management, A/B testing and reporting. It is popular with small businesses, bloggers, creators and startups for its ease of use and generous free plan.
While MailerLite has extensive built-in email features, extracting email addresses from subscriber data is useful for migrating to another platform, consolidating contacts across multiple tools, comparing subscriber lists, creating a backup or sharing contacts with teams that do not have MailerLite access.

Working with the Results
Migrate to another platform
Import the extracted list into another email marketing platform (Mailchimp, Kit, ActiveCampaign) if you are switching from MailerLite.
Compare with other tools
Upload MailerLite exports alongside exports from your CRM, website forms or other email platforms. Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Confirm subscription or membership status in the original records; matching addresses alone do not establish a current active membership.
Build a suppression list
Export bounced and unsubscribed addresses. Use this list as a suppression list when importing into other platforms to protect deliverability.
Verify addresses
If you have not emailed your list in a while, some addresses may have become invalid. Verification before re-engagement is recommended. See Best email verification services.
Things to Know
Contact data is not preserved
Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, groups, custom fields, subscription dates and other subscriber data are not carried over.
Active vs inactive subscribers
MailerLite tracks subscriber status (active, unsubscribed, bounced, junk, unconfirmed). Filter before exporting to get only the subscribers you need.
Groups vs segments
Groups are static collections of subscribers. Segments are dynamic and update based on criteria. Both can be exported.
Export limits
MailerLite processes exports asynchronously for large lists. The download may take a few minutes to generate.
MailerLite Classic vs new MailerLite
MailerLite has two versions (Classic and the newer version). The export process is similar in both, but the interface may differ slightly.
