How to Extract Emails from OptinMonster Leads

Why Extract from OptinMonster?
OptinMonster is a lead generation and conversion optimisation tool that creates pop-ups, floating bars, slide-ins, fullscreen overlays, inline forms and gamified opt-in forms (spin-to-win wheels). It is widely used on WordPress sites, Shopify stores and other websites to convert visitors into email subscribers and leads.
OptinMonster uses targeting rules to show the right offer to the right visitor at the right time: exit-intent detection, page-level targeting, geolocation targeting, device-based targeting, referral source targeting and more.
OptinMonster stores leads (contacts who submitted their email through a campaign) and can also send them to integrated email platforms and CRMs. Extracting email addresses from OptinMonster leads is useful for consolidating contacts, verifying addresses, importing into platforms that are not integrated, or creating a backup of your opt-in data.
How to Export from OptinMonster
- Log in to OptinMonster.
- Go to the Leads section in your dashboard.
- Select the campaign(s) whose leads you want to export.
- Click Export to download the leads as a CSV file.
- The CSV includes email, name (if collected), campaign name, page URL and submission timestamp.
Monster Leads
OptinMonster's Monster Leads feature stores leads within the OptinMonster dashboard even when integrations are active. This serves as a backup and central view of all opt-ins.
How to Extract the Email Addresses
- Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
- Select "Text and files."
- Upload the CSV file exported from OptinMonster. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
- Click "Extract emails."
- Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
- Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.
Working with the Results
Verify against your email platform
If you have OptinMonster integrated with Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign or another platform, compare the extracted OptinMonster leads against your email platform's subscriber list. Discrepancies may indicate failed integrations or timing gaps.
Import into a platform without integration
If your email marketing platform does not have a direct OptinMonster integration, the extracted list can be imported manually.
Combine with other lead sources
If you collect leads from OptinMonster pop-ups, embedded forms (WPForms, Gravity Forms) and landing pages (Unbounce, Leadpages), upload all exports together. Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Use the original records for person matching or status checks; the comparison only establishes that the same email string appears in multiple sources.
Verify addresses
Pop-up and inline form submissions can include typos, fake addresses and spam. Verification before sending campaigns is recommended. See Best email verification services.
Things to Know
Contact data is not preserved
Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, campaign names, page URLs, submission timestamps and other data from the OptinMonster export are not carried over.
Integration-first workflow
OptinMonster is designed to send leads directly to email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Kit, Drip, etc.) and CRMs through integrations. Most users set up integrations so leads flow automatically. The Monster Leads feature provides a backup.
Multiple campaigns
OptinMonster lets you run many campaigns simultaneously (different pop-ups on different pages). Each campaign can collect leads separately. Export from all campaigns at once or filter by campaign.
Exit-intent technology
OptinMonster's exit-intent detection shows campaigns when a visitor is about to leave the page. This is a targeting feature. Leads captured through exit-intent campaigns appear in the same leads dashboard as other campaigns.
A/B testing
OptinMonster supports A/B testing of campaign variants. Leads from all variants are stored together and exported together.
WordPress plugin
OptinMonster works with any website but offers a WordPress plugin for easier integration. The plugin connects your site to the OptinMonster service. Lead storage and export happen in the OptinMonster dashboard, not in WordPress.
Shopify and WooCommerce
OptinMonster supports Shopify, WooCommerce and other ecommerce platforms. Leads captured on ecommerce sites appear in the same OptinMonster dashboard.
