How to Extract Emails from Typeform Contacts

On this page

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.

Why Extract Contacts from Typeform?

Typeform is an interactive form and survey platform known for its conversational, one-question-at-a-time interface. It provides forms, surveys, quizzes, polls, contact forms, lead generation forms, payment forms and integrations. Every response that includes an email question captures the respondent's email address.

While the general Typeform export process is covered in Extract Emails from Typeform Responses, this article focuses on extracting and consolidating email addresses from Typeform respondent data across multiple forms for use in CRM and email marketing workflows.

How to Export from Typeform

Exporting responses from a form

  1. Log in to Typeform.
  2. Open the form.
  3. Go to Results then Responses.
  4. Click Export (or the download icon).
  5. Choose CSV or XLSX format.
  6. Download the file.
  7. The export includes all responses, including email fields.

Exporting from multiple forms

  1. Export responses from each form separately.
  2. Upload all files together to Email Extractor for deduplication.

Using integrations

Typeform integrates with CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce), email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign), Google Sheets and automation tools (Zapier, Make). If configured, responses flow to connected tools automatically.

How to Extract the Email Addresses

  1. Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
  2. Select "Text and files."
  3. Upload the CSV or XLSX files exported from Typeform. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
  4. Click "Extract emails."
  5. Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
  6. Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.

Working with the Results

Build a mailing list

Import the extracted list into Mailchimp, Kit, ActiveCampaign or another email marketing platform for newsletters and follow-up sequences.

Consolidate across forms

If you use multiple Typeform forms (contact, newsletter, lead magnet, feedback), upload exports from all forms together. Deduplication shows your total unique respondents.

Import into a CRM

Import respondent emails into HubSpot, Salesforce or another CRM for relationship management and pipeline tracking.

Verify addresses

Form respondents sometimes enter typos or temporary addresses. Verification before campaigns is recommended. See Best email verification services.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, form responses, scores, hidden fields and other Typeform data are not carried over.

Not all responses include email

Email fields are optional in Typeform forms. If a form does not include an email question, responses will not contain email addresses.

Hidden fields

Typeform hidden fields can pass data (like email) from a URL parameter. These appear in the export alongside regular responses.

Partial responses

Typeform can track partial responses (where someone started but did not finish the form). Depending on your export settings, partial responses may be included.
