After extracting email addresses with Email Extractor, you can import them into GoHighLevel to create contacts, add them to marketing campaigns, set up automation workflows, manage them in pipelines and reach them through email, SMS and other channels.
Preparing the File
Email Extractor gives you three download formats:
TXT file. One email per line.
CSV file. One column of email addresses. Works for GoHighLevel import.
CSV with sources. Two columns: email and source file. Map only the email column during import.
For GoHighLevel, CSV is the recommended format.
How to Import
- Log in to GoHighLevel.
- Go to Contacts.
- Click Import Contacts.
- Upload the CSV file.
- Map the email column to the Email field.
- Choose how to handle duplicates (skip or update).
- Optionally add tags to all imported contacts.
- Review and start the import.
- GoHighLevel creates contact records with the mapped email addresses.
After Import
Tags and smart lists
Apply tags to imported contacts for segmentation. Create smart lists based on tags, activity and other criteria.
Email campaigns
Create email campaigns targeted at imported contacts. GoHighLevel includes an email builder and scheduling.
Workflow automation
Build automation workflows that trigger on contact import, tag application or other events. Workflows can send emails, SMS, assign tasks, update fields and more.
Pipeline management
Add imported contacts to a pipeline and track them through stages.
SMS marketing
If you have phone numbers (from the original source data), GoHighLevel supports SMS marketing alongside email.
Funnels and landing pages

Things to Know
Contact data is not preserved
Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, phone numbers, companies and other fields will be blank after import. Add this data manually or through enrichment.
All-in-one platform
GoHighLevel replaces multiple tools (CRM, email marketing, funnel builder, scheduling, reputation management). Imported contacts can be used across all features.
Sub-accounts
GoHighLevel uses sub-accounts for managing multiple clients or businesses. Import contacts into the correct sub-account.
Contact limits
GoHighLevel plans may have contact limits depending on your pricing tier. Check your plan's allowance.
Email sending
GoHighLevel provides email sending through its built-in system or connected third-party SMTP providers (Mailgun, SendGrid). Sending limits depend on your configuration.
White-label
Agencies can white-label GoHighLevel for their clients. Imported contacts are managed under the agency's branded instance.
Email Extractor does not establish consent
