Why Extract from AWeber Reports?

AWeber provides campaign and broadcast reports including opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes and link activity. Each report contains subscriber-level engagement data with email addresses.

While the general AWeber export is covered in Extract Emails from AWeber Export and automation data in Extract Emails from AWeber Automations, this article focuses on report-specific exports for engagement-based lists.

How to Export from AWeber

Exporting broadcast activity

  1. Log in to AWeber.
  2. Go to Messages then Broadcasts.
  3. Select a sent broadcast.
  4. View the report showing opens, clicks and unsubscribes.
  5. Click on a metric to see the subscriber list.
  6. Export as CSV.

Exporting by engagement

  1. Open a broadcast report.
  2. Click Opened to see subscribers who opened.
  3. Click Clicked to see subscribers who clicked a link.
  4. Export each list separately.

Using subscriber segments

  1. Go to Subscribers.
  2. Use the search and filter options to create segments based on engagement (opened, clicked, not opened, tag).
  3. Export the segment.

Using the AWeber API

  1. Use the Subscribers endpoint with search parameters.
  2. Filter by tag, status or activity.
  3. Each subscriber includes the email address.
  4. Save results as JSON.

How to Extract the Email Addresses

  1. Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
  2. Select "Text and files."
  3. Upload the CSV file from AWeber. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
  4. Click "Extract emails."
  5. Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
  6. Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.

Working with the Results

Engaged subscriber lists

Extract emails from subscribers who opened or clicked. Import into a CRM for sales follow-up.

Re-engagement

Extract emails from subscribers who did not open recent broadcasts. Use for re-engagement with different content.

Import into CRM

Import engaged subscriber emails into HubSpot, Salesforce or another CRM.

Verify addresses

Recorded opens and clicks do not confirm a human reader or a currently reachable mailbox. Security scanners can generate clicks, and privacy features can generate opens; compare activity with replies or conversions before interpreting engagement. See Mailchimp’s explanation of automated opens and clicks and Apple’s explanation of background content loading. Bounced addresses should be removed. See Best email verification services.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, tags, custom fields, engagement data and other AWeber fields are not carried over.

Broadcasts vs. campaigns

AWeber uses "broadcasts" for one-time sends and "campaigns" for automated sequences. Report exports are available for both.
