Why Extract from Mailjet Reports?

Mailjet provides campaign statistics including opens, clicks, bounces, spam complaints and unsubscribes. Reports cover both marketing campaigns and transactional emails. Each report contains contact-level engagement data with email addresses.

While the general Mailjet export is covered in Extract Emails from Mailjet Export and segment data in Extract Emails from Mailjet Segments, this article focuses on report-specific exports for engagement-based lists.

Working with the Results

Engaged contact lists

Extract emails from contacts who opened or clicked. Import into a CRM for relationship tracking.

Spam complaint management

Export contacts who reported spam. Suppress these addresses across all platforms.

Re-engagement

Extract emails from contacts with no recent engagement. Use for win-back campaigns.

Verify addresses

Recorded opens and clicks do not confirm a human reader or a currently reachable mailbox. Security scanners can generate clicks, and privacy features can generate opens; compare activity with replies or conversions before interpreting engagement. See Mailchimp’s explanation of automated opens and clicks and Apple’s explanation of background content loading. Bounced and complained addresses need removal. See Best email verification services.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, properties, engagement metrics and other Mailjet fields are not carried over.

Marketing vs. transactional

Mailjet handles both marketing and transactional email. Report exports cover marketing campaigns. Transactional email logs are available through the API.
