Why Extract from ActiveCampaign Reports?

ActiveCampaign provides campaign performance reports including opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes, replies and revenue attribution. Reports also cover automation performance, deal pipeline analytics and contact engagement scores.

While the general ActiveCampaign export is covered in Extract Emails from ActiveCampaign Export, automation data in Extract Emails from ActiveCampaign Automations, and deal data in Extract Emails from ActiveCampaign Deals, this article focuses on report-specific exports for engagement-based lists.

How to Export from ActiveCampaign

Exporting campaign activity

  1. Log in to ActiveCampaign.
  2. Go to Campaigns then Reports.
  3. Select a sent campaign.
  4. View opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes and link clicks.
  5. Click on a metric to see the contact list.
  6. Export as CSV.

Exporting by engagement

  1. Open a campaign report.
  2. Click Opened to see contacts who opened.
  3. Click Clicked to see contacts who clicked.
  4. Click Did not open to see non-openers.
  5. Export each list.

Using contact segments

  1. Go to Contacts.
  2. Create an advanced search with conditions based on campaign engagement (opened campaign X, clicked link in campaign Y, engagement score above Z).
  3. Export the filtered contacts.

Using the ActiveCampaign API

  1. Use the Campaign Links endpoint for click data with contact emails.
  2. Use the Contact Search endpoint with tag or list filters.
  3. Each contact includes the email address.
  4. Save results as JSON.

How to Extract the Email Addresses

  1. Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
  2. Select "Text and files."
  3. Upload the CSV file from ActiveCampaign. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
  4. Click "Extract emails."
  5. Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
  6. Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.

Working with the Results

Engaged contact lists

Extract emails from contacts who opened or clicked. Import into a CRM for sales follow-up.

Contact scoring

ActiveCampaign assigns engagement scores. Export high-scoring contacts for priority outreach.

Re-engagement

Extract emails from contacts with low engagement scores or no recent opens. Use for win-back campaigns.

Verify addresses

Recorded opens and clicks do not confirm a human reader or a currently reachable mailbox. Security scanners can generate clicks, and privacy features can generate opens; compare activity with replies or conversions before interpreting engagement. See Mailchimp’s explanation of automated opens and clicks and Apple’s explanation of background content loading. Bounced addresses should be removed. See Best email verification services.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, tags, lists, engagement scores, deal data and other ActiveCampaign fields are not carried over.

Reports vs. contact exports

Report exports focus on per-campaign engagement. Contact exports give the full list with all attributes and scores.
