How to Extract Emails from Squarespace Email Campaigns

Why Extract from Squarespace Email Campaigns?

Squarespace includes built-in email marketing (Squarespace Email Campaigns) for sending newsletters, announcements and promotional emails. Campaign data includes subscriber email addresses, mailing lists, campaign performance metrics, open rates and click data.

How to Export from Squarespace

Exporting mailing list subscribers

1. Log in to Squarespace.
2. Go to Marketing then Email Campaigns.
3. Go to Mailing Lists.
4. Select a mailing list.
5. Click Export or Download to get a CSV of subscribers.
6. The export includes subscriber email addresses and subscription date.

Exporting all contacts

1. Go to Contacts.
2. Use filters to narrow by mailing list, tag, segment or subscription status.
3. Export as CSV.

Exporting campaign recipients

1. Go to Email Campaigns then select a specific campaign.
2. View campaign performance (opens, clicks, bounces).
3. Export campaign recipient data if available.

Using the Squarespace API

1. Use the Commerce API or Profile API to retrieve subscriber data.
2. Filter by mailing list or subscription status.
3. Save results as JSON.

How to Extract the Email Addresses

1. Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
2. Select "Text and files."
3. Upload the CSV file from Squarespace. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
4. Click "Extract emails."
5. Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.

Cross-platform campaigns

This counts distinct email strings using case-insensitive matching, not distinct people. One person may have multiple addresses, and shared addresses may represent several people.

Import subscriber emails into HubSpot, Salesforce or another CRM for relationship tracking.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, subscription dates, tags and other Squarespace fields are not carried over.

Squarespace's email marketing features are more limited than dedicated platforms. Extracting subscribers for use in external platforms gives access to more advanced features.

Subscription status

Exported subscribers may include unsubscribed contacts depending on export settings. Check subscription status before sending campaigns.
