How to Extract Emails from Teachable Students

Why Extract from Teachable?
Teachable is an online course and coaching platform that helps creators build and sell courses, coaching programmes and digital downloads. It provides a course builder, student management, payment processing, quizzes, completion certificates, an affiliate programme, a website builder and integrations with marketing tools.
Teachable stores student data including email addresses, enrolment information, progress tracking and transaction history. Extracting email addresses from Teachable students is useful for importing into an email marketing platform, adding to a CRM, consolidating contacts from multiple course platforms, verifying addresses or creating a backup.
How to Export from Teachable
Exporting all users
- Log in to Teachable.
- Go to Users in the admin area.
- Click Export (or Download CSV) to download all users as a CSV file.
- The CSV includes email, name, sign-up date and role.
Exporting students from a specific course
- Go to the course in the admin area.
- Navigate to the Students section.
- Export the student list for that specific course.
This gives you only students enrolled in one course, which is useful for course-specific follow-up.
How to Extract the Email Addresses
- Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
- Select "Text and files."
- Upload the CSV file exported from Teachable. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
- Click "Extract emails."
- Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
- Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.
Working with the Results
Import into an email marketing platform
Teachable does not include a full email marketing system for campaigns and sequences. Most Teachable creators use a separate platform (Kit, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign) for email marketing. The extracted list can be imported into your chosen platform.
Import into a CRM
The extracted list can be imported into a CRM for managing student relationships, tracking upsell opportunities and organising communication.
Combine students across courses
If you offer multiple courses, export student lists from each and upload all files to Email Extractor. Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Confirm course enrolment and student identity in the original records; multiple addresses can belong to one student.

Export students who enrolled but did not complete a course. Import into your email platform for re-engagement campaigns encouraging completion or offering support.

Things to Know
Contact data is not preserved
Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, enrolment details, progress, completion status, purchase amounts and sign-up dates from the Teachable export are not carried over.
Owners vs students
Teachable users include school owners, authors (instructors), affiliates and students. The user export may include all roles. If you need only students, filter within Teachable or by role column after export.
No built-in email campaigns
Teachable sends transactional emails (enrolment confirmation, course completion, purchase receipts) but does not include a campaign-style email marketing tool. For marketing and nurture sequences, you need a separate platform.
Integrations
Teachable integrates with email platforms and automation tools (Zapier, Make). Active integrations may already send student data to your marketing tools. Extraction remains useful for consolidation and verification.
Free vs paid students
Teachable supports free and paid courses. The export includes both. Filter within Teachable if you need only paying customers.
Coaching products
Teachable supports coaching products (one-on-one or group coaching). Coaching clients are stored as users and included in the export.
Multiple schools
Some creators run multiple Teachable schools. Each school has its own user database and export. Export from each school separately and upload all files to Email Extractor for a consolidated list.
