How to Extract Emails from Webex Webinar Registrants
On this page
Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.
Why Extract from Webex Webinars?
Webex Webinars (formerly Webex Events) is Cisco's webinar platform for hosting large-scale online presentations, training sessions and events. It provides registration pages, attendee management, Q&A, polling, breakout sessions, recording, reporting and integrations. Webex Webinars supports thousands of attendees and is widely used in enterprise and education settings.
Extracting email addresses from Webex Webinar data is useful for importing into a CRM or email marketing platform, following up with registrants and attendees, building segmented lists (registered vs attended vs no-show), consolidating event contacts or creating a backup.

Working with the Results
Follow up with attendees
Import attended contacts into a CRM or email marketing platform for follow-up emails, resource sharing and next-step sequences.
Re-engage no-shows
Compare registrant and attendee exports. Those who registered but did not attend are no-shows. Send them a recording link or invitation to a future event.
Build event-based segments
Extract emails from multiple webinars and upload together. Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Source membership shows an address in an export; use the event records to distinguish registration from attendance and count repeat visits.
Verify addresses
Registration email addresses are provided by registrants and are usually valid. Corporate email addresses may become invalid if the person changes jobs. See Best email verification services.
Things to Know
Contact data is not preserved
Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, companies, registration dates, attendance durations, custom fields and other data are not carried over.
Registrants vs attendees
Registrants signed up for the webinar. Attendees actually joined. These are separate lists and both can be exported.
Webex Meetings vs Webex Webinars
Webex Meetings is for smaller collaborative meetings and does not have registration pages. Webex Webinars (Events) is the large-scale webinar product with registration and attendee reporting.
Report retention
Webex stores webinar reports for a limited time. Export reports soon after the webinar.
Practice sessions
Webex Webinars include practice sessions for presenters. Practice session participants do not appear in attendee reports.
Enterprise compliance
Webex is used in regulated industries. Check your organisation's data handling policies before exporting attendee data.
