How to Extract Emails from GoToWebinar Registrants

Why Extract from GoToWebinar?
GoToWebinar (from GoTo, formerly LogMeIn) is a webinar platform used for online events, training sessions, product demos and lead generation. It provides registration pages, automated emails, polls, Q&A, handouts, recording and reporting. GoToWebinar collects registrant email addresses along with name and any custom registration questions.
Extracting email addresses from GoToWebinar data is useful for importing into a marketing platform, following up with attendees, building lead lists from webinar registrations or consolidating contacts across multiple webinars.
How to Export from GoToWebinar
Exporting registrants
- Log in to GoToWebinar.
- Go to My Webinars and select the webinar.
- Click Registrants or Reports.
- Download the registrant list as CSV.
- The CSV includes email, name, registration date, status and custom question responses.
Exporting attendee reports
- In the webinar's dashboard, go to Reports.
- Select Attendee Report.
- Download as CSV. The report includes email, name, join time, leave time, duration, attention and poll responses.
Generating reports
- Go to Reports from the main navigation.
- Select the webinar and date range.
- Generate and download the report.
How to Extract the Email Addresses
- Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
- Select "Text and files."
- Upload the CSV file exported from GoToWebinar. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
- Click "Extract emails."
- Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
- Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.
Working with the Results
Follow up after the webinar
Import the extracted list into Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign or another platform. Send post-webinar content: replay links, slide decks, special offers or next steps.
Separate attendees from absentees
Download both the registrant list and attendee report. Extract emails from each. Compare to identify registrants who did not attend. Send absentees a replay link or invitation to a future session.
Consolidate webinar contacts
Upload registrant exports from multiple webinars together. Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Source membership shows an address in an export; use the event records to distinguish registration from attendance and count repeat visits.
Verify addresses
Registration emails are generally valid. However, some registrants use secondary addresses for event signups. Verification before long-term campaigns is recommended. See Best email verification services.
Things to Know
Contact data is not preserved
Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, company, job title, custom question responses, poll answers and attendance data from the GoToWebinar export are not carried over.
Automated emails
GoToWebinar sends automated confirmation, reminder and follow-up emails. These are separate from any email marketing campaigns you run with the extracted list.
GoToWebinar integrations
GoToWebinar integrates with CRMs and marketing platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp). If you use an integration, registrant data may already sync to your marketing tool automatically.
Simulated live webinars
GoToWebinar supports simulated live (pre-recorded) webinars. Registrants for these events are collected the same way as live webinars.
Multiple organisers
If multiple team members organise webinars, each organiser's webinars appear under their own account. Export from each organiser's dashboard to get all registrants.
