How to Import Extracted Emails into Benchmark Email

Why Import into Benchmark Email?
After extracting email addresses from files using Email Extractor, you may want to bring them into Benchmark Email for email marketing. Benchmark Email is a marketing platform offering email campaigns, automations, landing pages, surveys, polls and A/B testing. It is known for its multilingual support (available in several languages), clean interface and straightforward feature set.
Importing an extracted email list into Benchmark Email lets you add contacts to lists, send campaigns and set up drip automations.
Before You Import
Prepare the file
Email Extractor produces a file with email addresses only. Benchmark Email accepts CSV, TXT and Excel imports. Email is the only required field.
- Extract email addresses using Email Extractor at bulkemailextractor.com.
- Download the results as CSV or TXT.
- The file contains one email address per row. This is ready for Benchmark Email import.
If you have names or other data, combine with the email file in a spreadsheet before importing.
Choose or create a list
Benchmark Email organises contacts into lists. Before importing, choose an existing list or create a new one.
Consider verification
If the extracted emails come from old files or uncertain sources, verify the list before importing. Benchmark Email may run its own verification during import. See Best email verification services.
How to Import
- Log in to Benchmark Email.
- Go to Contacts > Contact Lists.
- Select a list or create a new one.
- Click Add contacts > Upload from file.
- Choose your CSV, TXT or Excel file.
- Benchmark Email shows a field mapping screen. Map the email column to the Email field.
- Review the import settings.
- Start the import.
- Benchmark Email processes the file and may run its own list verification. This can take some time for larger lists.
- Review the import summary showing contacts added, updated and rejected.
After Import
Review the import report
Benchmark Email provides a report on the import results. It may flag addresses as invalid, risky or safe. Review the numbers.
Check list verification
Benchmark Email includes a built-in list verification feature. During or after import, it may automatically verify email addresses and flag problematic ones. Review the verification results.
Send a campaign
Before sending a full campaign to imported contacts, test with a small segment. Monitor open rate, bounce rate and unsubscribes.
Set up automations
Benchmark Email supports drip automations (automated email sequences). Consider whether imported contacts should enter an automation based on list membership.
Things to Know
Built-in verification
Benchmark Email includes built-in email verification that runs during imports. This can reject addresses that appear invalid, which means the number of contacts added may be lower than the number in your file. This is generally a positive feature that protects your sender reputation.
Contact deduplication
Each email address exists once per list. Importing an address that already exists on the list updates that contact rather than creating a duplicate.
Unsubscribes
If a contact previously unsubscribed, importing their email address does not re-subscribe them. Benchmark Email respects previous consent decisions.
Pricing
Benchmark Email offers a free plan with limited features and a contact limit. Paid plans scale based on contact count. Importing contacts increases your billable count.
No enrichment
Benchmark Email does not look up names or other details for imported email addresses. Contacts imported with email only will have minimal profiles.
Multilingual support
Benchmark Email is available in multiple languages and supports multilingual campaigns. This is useful for teams and businesses operating in non-English markets.
Surveys and polls
Benchmark Email includes survey and poll features alongside email marketing. Imported contacts can receive surveys as part of campaigns.
