How to Import Extracted Emails into Sender
On this page
Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.
Why Import into Sender?
After extracting email addresses from files using Email Extractor, you may want to bring them into Sender for email marketing. Sender is an email and SMS marketing platform known for its generous free tier, ease of use and strong deliverability. It offers email campaigns, automations, pop-ups, forms, segmentation, reporting and integrations with ecommerce platforms.
Importing an extracted email list into Sender lets you add subscribers to groups, send campaigns and set up automated workflows.
Before You Import
Prepare the file
Email Extractor produces a file with email addresses only. Sender accepts CSV imports. Email is the only required field.
- Extract email addresses using Email Extractor at bulkemailextractor.com.
- Download the results as CSV.
- The CSV contains one email address per row. This is ready for Sender import.
If you have names or other data, combine with the email CSV in a spreadsheet before importing.
Choose or create a group
Sender organises subscribers into groups. Before importing, choose an existing group or create a new one. Creating a dedicated group helps track imported subscribers separately.
Consider verification
If the extracted emails come from old files or uncertain sources, verify the list before importing. See Best email verification services.
How to Import
- Log in to Sender.
- Go to Subscribers.
- Click Import subscribers (or Add subscribers).
- Choose Upload CSV and select your file.
- Sender shows a field mapping screen. Map the email column to the Email field.
- Assign subscribers to a group.
- Review the import settings.
- Start the import.
- Sender processes the file and shows a summary of subscribers added, updated and skipped.
After Import
Review the import summary
Sender reports how many subscribers were added, how many already existed and how many were skipped. Review these numbers.
Send a campaign
Before sending to all imported subscribers, test with a small group. Monitor open rate, bounce rate, spam complaints and unsubscribes.
Set up segments
Sender supports segments based on subscriber data, tags and behaviour. Create a segment for imported subscribers to track engagement separately.
Check automations
If your group has active automations, imported subscribers may trigger them. Review automation triggers before importing.
Things to Know
Subscriber deduplication
Each email address exists once in your Sender account. Importing an email that already exists updates that subscriber rather than creating a duplicate.
Unsubscribes
If a subscriber previously unsubscribed, importing their email address does not re-subscribe them. Sender respects previous consent decisions.
Pricing
Sender offers a generous free plan (up to 2,500 subscribers and 15,000 emails per month as of the time of writing). Paid plans scale based on subscriber count. Importing increases your count and may change your tier.
No enrichment
Sender does not look up names or other details for imported email addresses. Imported subscribers contain only the data you provide.
SMS marketing
Sender supports SMS marketing alongside email. SMS requires phone numbers and separate consent. Email-only imports do not enable SMS for those subscribers.
Ecommerce integrations
Sender integrates with Shopify, WooCommerce and other ecommerce platforms. Imported subscribers do not have purchase history data until they interact with your store while tracked by Sender.
Groups
Sender's groups function similarly to lists in other platforms. Subscribers can belong to multiple groups. Use groups to organise contacts by source, interest or campaign type.
