How to Import Extracted Emails into monday CRM

On this page

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.

Why Import into monday CRM?

monday CRM is a sales CRM built on the monday.com work management platform. It provides contact and account management, deal pipelines, email tracking, activity logging, email templates, automation, dashboards and reporting. monday CRM is used by teams that already use monday.com for project management and want a unified platform.

After extracting email addresses with Email Extractor, you can import them into monday CRM to create contact records, add them to deals, set up automations and track them through your pipeline.

Preparing the File

Email Extractor gives you three download formats:

TXT file. One email per line.

CSV file. One column of email addresses. Works for monday CRM import.

CSV with sources. Two columns: email and source file. Map only the email column during import.

For monday CRM, CSV or XLSX are the recommended formats.

How to Import

  1. Log in to monday CRM.
  2. Go to the Contacts board (or the relevant board).
  3. Click the menu icon and select Import data.
  4. Choose CSV/XLSX as the source.
  5. Upload the file.
  6. Map the email column to the Email column in monday CRM.
  7. Choose how to handle duplicates.
  8. Review and start the import.
  9. monday CRM creates items (contact records) with the mapped email addresses.

After Import

Organise contacts

Use monday CRM's groups, filters and views to organise imported contacts by source, status or category.

Connect to deals

Create deal items and link them to imported contacts to track opportunities through your pipeline.

Email integration

Connect your email (Gmail or Outlook) to monday CRM. Email conversations with imported contacts are tracked in the activity log.

Automations

Set up automations to assign imported contacts to team members, send notifications, move items between groups or trigger follow-up tasks.

Verify addresses

Consider verifying the extracted list before importing. See Best email verification services.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, companies, phone numbers and other details will not be populated. Add this data manually or through enrichment.

Board-based structure

monday CRM organises data in boards (similar to spreadsheets). Contacts, deals and accounts are separate boards linked together.

Columns

monday CRM uses columns for different data types (email, text, phone, status, date). Map the email column correctly during import.

Seat-based pricing

monday CRM is priced per seat. There are typically no contact limits, but check your plan for any record or storage restrictions.

monday.com vs monday CRM

monday CRM is a product within the monday.com platform. If you use monday.com for project management, monday CRM shares the same workspace and interface.

Email Extractor does not establish consent

Extracting email addresses does not create permission to send marketing emails. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
