How to Import Extracted Emails into SendPulse

On this page

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.

Why Import into SendPulse?

After extracting email addresses from files using Email Extractor, you may want to bring them into SendPulse for marketing. SendPulse is a multichannel marketing platform that combines email campaigns, SMS, web push notifications, chatbots (for Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), a CRM and a landing page builder. It is designed as an all-in-one platform for customer communication.

Importing an extracted email list into SendPulse lets you add subscribers to mailing lists, send email campaigns, create automations and reach subscribers across multiple channels.

Before You Import

Prepare the file

Email Extractor produces a file with email addresses only. SendPulse accepts CSV, TXT and Excel imports. Email is the only required field.

  1. Extract email addresses using Email Extractor at bulkemailextractor.com.
  2. Download the results as CSV or TXT.
  3. The file contains one email address per row. This is ready for SendPulse import.

If you have names, phone numbers or other data, combine with the email file in a spreadsheet before importing.

Choose or create a mailing list

SendPulse organises email subscribers into mailing lists. Before importing, choose an existing list or create a new one.

Consider verification

If the extracted emails come from old files or uncertain sources, verify the list before importing. SendPulse has its own email verification service. External verification before import is also an option. See Best email verification services.

How to Import

  1. Log in to SendPulse.
  2. Go to Email > Mailing lists.
  3. Select an existing list or create a new one.
  4. Click Add subscribers or Import.
  5. Choose Upload from file and select your CSV, TXT or Excel file.
  6. SendPulse shows a field mapping screen. Map the email column to the Email field.
  7. Review the import settings.
  8. Start the import.
  9. SendPulse processes the file and shows a summary of subscribers added, updated and skipped.

After Import

Review the import results

SendPulse reports how many subscribers were added, how many already existed and how many were not imported. Review these numbers.

Verify with SendPulse's built-in tool

SendPulse offers an email verification service that can check your imported list for validity. Running verification after import removes invalid addresses and protects your sender reputation.

Send a campaign

Before sending to all imported subscribers, test with a small segment. Monitor open rate, bounce rate and unsubscribes.

Set up automations

SendPulse offers an automation builder (Automation 360) for email sequences, event-triggered emails and multichannel flows. Consider whether imported subscribers should enter an automation.

Things to Know

Subscriber deduplication

Each email address exists once per mailing list. Importing an address that already exists on the list updates that subscriber. The same address can exist on different lists.

Unsubscribes

If a subscriber previously unsubscribed, importing their email address does not re-subscribe them. SendPulse respects previous consent decisions.

Pricing

SendPulse offers a free plan (up to 500 subscribers and 15,000 emails per month as of the time of writing). Paid plans scale based on subscriber count or pay-as-you-go credits. Importing subscribers increases your count.

No enrichment

SendPulse does not look up names or other details for imported email addresses. Subscribers imported with email only will have minimal profiles.

Multichannel capabilities

SendPulse supports SMS, web push notifications and chatbots alongside email. Email-only imports do not enable other channels for those subscribers. SMS requires phone numbers and separate consent.

Built-in CRM

SendPulse includes a CRM for managing deals and contacts. Imported email subscribers can be converted to CRM contacts for sales workflows.

Email verification service

SendPulse offers a paid email verification service within the platform. This is separate from the email marketing features and can be used to clean lists before or after import.

Landing pages

SendPulse includes a landing page builder. Landing pages collect subscribers directly into mailing lists. This is a separate feature from CSV import.
