How to Extract Emails from Benchmark Email Segments

On this page

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.

Why Extract Segments from Benchmark Email?

Benchmark Email is an email marketing platform with list management, segmentation and automation features. Its segmentation tools let you filter contacts by engagement, location, signup date, custom fields and other criteria.

Extracting email addresses from specific Benchmark segments is useful for importing targeted lists into a CRM, sharing data with teams, running campaigns through a different platform or cross-referencing with other data sources.

While the general Benchmark export is covered in Extract Emails from Benchmark Email Export, this article focuses on segment-specific exports.

Working with the Results

Import into a CRM

Import segmented subscriber emails into HubSpot, Salesforce or another CRM for sales follow-up.

Cross-platform campaigns

Run campaigns through a different platform using a specific Benchmark segment.

Compare segments

Export multiple segments and upload together. Deduplication combines the addresses into one unique list. Compare the original exports separately to measure overlap between segments.

List cleanup

Extract emails from inactive or bounced segments for verification or removal. See Best email verification services.

Migrate platforms

When switching from Benchmark to another email marketing platform, export all segments and extract a deduplicated list for import.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, custom fields, engagement data, subscription dates and other Benchmark fields are not carried over.

Segments are list-specific

Benchmark Email segments are created within a specific contact list. You cannot segment across multiple lists in a single query.

Dynamic segments

Segments update as contacts match or stop matching the rules. The export captures contacts at the time of export.
