How to Extract Emails from Flodesk Segments

Why Extract Segments from Flodesk?

Flodesk is an email marketing platform popular with creators, small businesses and online entrepreneurs. Its segmentation features let you organize subscribers using segments based on form signups, link clicks, workflow activity and custom criteria.

Extracting email addresses from specific Flodesk segments is useful for importing targeted lists into a CRM, sharing data with teams, running campaigns through a different platform or cross-referencing with other data sources.

How to Export from Flodesk

Exporting a segment

1. Log in to Flodesk.
2. Go to Audience.
3. Click on Segments.
4. Select the segment you want to export.
5. Click the export option to download as CSV.

Using segments created by forms

1. When you create a Flodesk form, you can assign new subscribers to a segment automatically.
2. Go to Audience then Segments and select the form-based segment.
3. Export as CSV.

Using segments from workflows

1. Flodesk workflows can add subscribers to segments at specific steps.
2. Go to Audience then Segments and select the workflow-based segment.
3. Export as CSV.

Exporting all subscribers

1. Go to Audience.
2. Click All Subscribers.
3. Export the full list as CSV.

How to Extract the Email Addresses

1. Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
2. Select "Text and files."
3. Upload the CSV file from Flodesk. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
4. Click "Extract emails."
5. Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
6. Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.

Compare segments

Export multiple segments and upload together. Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Use the original records for person matching or status checks; the comparison only establishes that the same email string appears in multiple sources.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, segment labels and other Flodesk fields are not carried over.

Flat pricing model

Flodesk uses a flat pricing model with no subscriber limits. This means all your subscribers are available for export regardless of list size.

Segments are not folders

Flodesk segments are labels applied to subscribers. A subscriber can belong to multiple segments. Deduplication removes duplicates when you export multiple segments together.
