How to Extract Emails from Instapage Leads

On this page

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.

Why Extract from Instapage?

Instapage is a landing page platform built for advertising teams and marketers who run paid campaigns. It provides a drag-and-drop builder, A/B testing, heatmaps, personalization and collaboration tools. When visitors submit forms on Instapage landing pages, their data is stored as leads. Instapage integrates with CRMs, email platforms and ad platforms, but also maintains its own lead database.

Extracting email addresses from Instapage leads is useful in several scenarios.

Consolidating leads across campaigns. If you run multiple Instapage landing pages for different ad campaigns, products or audiences, extracting from each and deduplicating reveals your total unique lead count.

Verifying integrations. Instapage integrations push leads to your CRM or email platform, but integrations can fail silently. Comparing extracted Instapage leads with your CRM export reveals any gaps.

Migrating to another platform. When switching from Instapage to Unbounce, Leadpages or another landing page builder, extracting your lead email addresses ensures no contacts are lost.

Backing up lead data. An independent extracted email list provides a backup separate from the Instapage platform and your integration destinations.

Auditing lead quality. Extracting and verifying lead email addresses reveals how many are valid and deliverable, helping evaluate ad campaign ROI beyond raw conversion numbers.

How to Export from Instapage

Instapage allows you to export leads from individual landing pages.

Exporting leads

  1. Log in to Instapage.
  2. Go to the landing page whose leads you want to export.
  3. Navigate to the Leads or Conversions tab.
  4. Click Export (or Download CSV).
  5. Instapage generates a CSV file containing the lead data.
  6. Download the file.

Export fields

Instapage lead exports typically include: email address, first name (if collected), last name (if collected), other form fields, conversion date and time, the page name, the page variant (if A/B testing) and referrer information. The exact columns depend on which fields your forms collect.

How to Extract the Email Addresses

  1. Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
  2. Select "Text and files."
  3. Upload the CSV file (or multiple CSV files from different landing pages). Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
  4. Click "Extract emails."
  5. Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
  6. Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources to see which page export each address came from.

Working with the Results

Compare with your CRM

Export from your CRM and compare with the Instapage lead list. Addresses in Instapage but missing from the CRM may indicate integration failures.

Compare with ad platform data

If you track conversions in Google Ads or Facebook Ads, compare the lead count from your ad platform with the unique email count from Instapage. Discrepancies may indicate tracking issues.

Combine leads from multiple pages

Upload exports from all your Instapage landing pages together. Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Use the original records for person matching or status checks; the comparison only establishes that the same email string appears in multiple sources.

Verify lead quality

Landing pages targeted by paid ads can attract bot traffic and spam submissions. Running the extracted list through a verification service identifies invalid addresses. This helps calculate the true cost per valid lead. See Best email verification services.

Import into a CRM or email platform

If leads should be in your CRM but are not, the extracted list can be imported manually. Since the extraction produces email addresses only, names and other form data are not carried over.

Things to Know

Column headers are not extracted

CSV column headers from Instapage exports are text labels, not email addresses, so they do not appear in the extracted results.

Lead data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, phone numbers, custom form responses, conversion dates, page names, variant data and referrer information from the Instapage export are not carried over.

A/B test data

If you run A/B tests in Instapage, the export may include a variant column indicating which page version the lead converted on. This data is useful for analysis but is not preserved during extraction.

Heatmap and analytics data

Instapage provides heatmaps and analytics for landing pages. This behavioral data is separate from lead data and is not included in lead exports.

Multi-step forms

Instapage supports multi-step forms. If a visitor completes only the first step (which may not include an email field), they may not appear in the leads export with an email address.

Historical data

Instapage stores leads for as long as your account is active. Older leads may have outdated email addresses. Verification is especially important for historical data.

Personalization

Instapage offers ad-to-page personalization (different visitors see different page content based on the ad they clicked). Lead exports include leads from all personalized variants.
