How to Extract Emails from Kartra Contacts

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.

How to Export from Kartra

Exporting contacts

1. Log in to Kartra.
2. Go to My Leads (or Contacts).
3. Filter by list, tag, date, purchase history or other criteria.
4. Click Export to download a CSV file.
5. The CSV includes email, name, phone, tags, lists, subscription date and other contact fields.

Exporting by list or tag

1. Go to My Leads.
2. Select a specific list or filter by tag.
3. Export the filtered contacts as CSV.

Exporting buyers

1. Filter contacts by purchase activity.
2. Export buyers separately to create a customer-specific list.

How to Extract the Email Addresses

1. Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
2. Select "Text and files."
3. Upload the CSV file exported from Kartra. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
4. Click "Extract emails."
5. Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
6. Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.

Working with the Results

Migrate to another platform

If switching from Kartra to separate specialized tools (an email platform, a landing page builder, a checkout tool), extract contacts to import into each new platform.

Import into a CRM

If adding a CRM alongside Kartra, import extracted emails for sales pipeline management and relationship tracking.

Consolidate across platforms

If you use Kartra alongside other marketing tools, export from each and upload together. Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Use the original records for person matching or status checks; the comparison only establishes that the same email string appears in multiple sources.

Verify addresses

Contacts collected over a long period may include invalid addresses. Verification before campaigns is recommended. See Best email verification services.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, tags, lists, purchase history, lead scores, custom fields and other Kartra data are not carried over.

All-in-one data

Because Kartra stores everything (leads, customers, members, help desk tickets, calendar bookings), the contact export may include people from all these sources. Filter before exporting to get specific segments.

Lists and tags

Kartra organises contacts using lists and tags. Filter by list or tag before exporting for targeted extraction.

Membership data

Kartra membership site users are included in the contact database. Members who signed up for courses or gated content appear alongside other leads and customers.

Active vs unsubscribed

Filter by subscription status before exporting. Active contacts, unsubscribed contacts, bounced addresses and complaints are all in the database.
