How to Extract Emails from Memberstack Members
On this page
Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.
Why Extract from Memberstack?
Memberstack is a membership and authentication platform for no-code websites. It works with Webflow, WordPress and other website builders to add member signups, gated content, paid plans, free trials, login pages and member directories. Memberstack stores member data including email addresses, plan information and custom fields.
Extracting email addresses from Memberstack data is useful for importing into a dedicated email marketing platform, consolidating members with other audience lists, building segmented lists by plan or sending communications outside of Memberstack.
How to Export from Memberstack
Exporting members
- Log in to the Memberstack dashboard.
- Go to Members.
- Filter by plan, status or other criteria if needed.
- Click Export to download as CSV.
- The CSV includes email, name, plan, signup date, status and custom fields.
Filtering before export
- In the Members list, apply filters by plan (free, paid, specific tier), status (active, cancelled, trialing) or custom metadata.
- Export the filtered list.
How to Extract the Email Addresses
- Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
- Select "Text and files."
- Upload the CSV file exported from Memberstack. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
- Click "Extract emails."
- Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
- Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.
Working with the Results
Import into a marketing platform
Memberstack handles authentication and access, not email marketing. Import the extracted list into Mailchimp, Kit, ActiveCampaign or another platform for newsletters, onboarding sequences and retention campaigns.
Consolidate with website contacts
If your website also collects emails through forms, popups or newsletter signups (separate from Memberstack), upload both exports together. Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Confirm subscription or membership status in the original records; matching addresses alone do not establish a current active membership.
Segment by plan
Export members from different plans separately. Process each through Email Extractor to create plan-specific email lists for targeted communications.
Verify addresses
Member email addresses are generally valid since they are used for login. However, some may have become inactive. Verification before campaigns is recommended. See Best email verification services.
Things to Know
Contact data is not preserved
Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, plans, statuses, signup dates, custom fields and other data from the Memberstack export are not carried over.
Active vs cancelled members
Memberstack tracks member status (active, cancelled, trialing). Exports may include all statuses unless filtered. Cancelled members may not expect communications.
Free vs paid members
Memberstack supports both free and paid membership plans. Both types of members provide email addresses at signup.
Custom fields
Memberstack supports custom member fields (phone, company, etc.). These appear in exports but are not preserved by Email Extractor.
Webflow integration
Many Memberstack users build their site with Webflow. Webflow's own form submissions are a separate data source. If you collect emails through both Webflow forms and Memberstack signups, export from both and upload together.
Authentication emails
Memberstack sends transactional emails (welcome, password reset, plan changes). These are separate from any marketing emails you send through an external platform.
