How to Extract Emails from Patreon Patrons

Why Extract from Patreon?
Patreon is a membership platform for creators. It provides tiered memberships, recurring payments, exclusive content delivery, messaging, community posts, analytics and integrations. Creators on Patreon have patrons (supporters) who pay monthly or per creation in exchange for exclusive content and perks.
Extracting email addresses from Patreon patron data is useful for importing into a dedicated email marketing platform, reaching patrons through a channel you own (not dependent on Patreon), building a backup of supporter contacts, consolidating patron emails with other audience lists or communicating outside of Patreon's messaging system.
How to Export from Patreon
Exporting patron data
- Log in to Patreon as a creator.
- Go to Relationship Manager (or Patrons).
- Click Export or Download CSV.
- The CSV includes email, name, tier, pledge amount, lifetime total, charge status, patron since date and other fields.
Filtering before export
- In the Relationship Manager, filter by tier, status (active, declined, former) or other criteria.
- Export the filtered list. This lets you create separate lists for active patrons, former patrons or specific tiers.
Exporting from the overview
- Go to your creator dashboard.
- Navigate to the patrons section.
- Look for export or download options.
How to Extract the Email Addresses
- Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
- Select "Text and files."
- Upload the CSV file exported from Patreon. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
- Click "Extract emails."
- Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
- Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.
Working with the Results
Import into a newsletter platform
Patreon has built-in messaging and post notifications, but no full email marketing system. Import the extracted list into Kit, Mailchimp, Buttondown or another newsletter platform for announcements, content updates and engagement campaigns.
Build an owned email list
Patreon controls the platform and the relationship. Having patron emails in your own email platform gives you a direct communication channel that works even if you leave Patreon or if Patreon changes its features or policies.
Segment by tier
Export different tiers separately and process each through Email Extractor. This lets you send tier-specific communications through your own email platform.
Consolidate with other audiences
Upload Patreon patron emails alongside exports from YouTube, Discord, your website newsletter or other channels. Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Confirm subscription or membership status in the original records; matching addresses alone do not establish a current active membership.
Verify addresses
Patron email addresses are generally valid since they are tied to payment accounts. However, some patrons may use secondary email addresses. Verification before campaigns is recommended. See Best email verification services.
Things to Know
Contact data is not preserved
Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, tier levels, pledge amounts, charge statuses, lifetime totals and other fields from the Patreon export are not carried over.
Active vs former patrons
Patreon's patron data includes both active and former (cancelled) patrons. Exports may include both unless you filter before exporting. Former patrons may not expect communications from you.
Declined patrons
Patrons whose payments are declining (failed card, insufficient funds) may still appear as patrons. Their email addresses will be in exports.
Free members
Patreon supports free membership tiers. Free members' email addresses are included in patron exports.
Email sharing consent
Patreon collects email addresses for payment and platform purposes. Review Patreon's policies on using patron email addresses for external marketing.
Patreon messaging
Patreon provides messaging and post notifications. Using the extracted emails for a separate newsletter creates a second communication channel. Be mindful of sending frequency across both channels.
