How to Extract Emails from Moosend Reports

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs.

Why Extract from Moosend Reports?

Moosend provides campaign reports covering opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes, forwards and link activity. Each report includes subscriber-level engagement data with email addresses.

While the general Moosend export is covered in Extract Emails from Moosend Export and automation data in Extract Emails from Moosend Automations, this article focuses on report-specific exports for engagement-based lists.

How to Export from Moosend

Exporting campaign activity

1. Log in to Moosend.
2. Go to Campaigns then Reports.
3. Select a sent campaign.
4. View the report showing opens, unique clicks, bounces and unsubscribes.
5. Click on a metric to see the subscriber list.
6. Export as CSV.

Exporting by engagement

1. Open a campaign report.
2. Select Opened by to see who opened the campaign.
3. Select Clicked by to see who clicked.
4. Export each engagement list.

Using mailing list segments

1. Go to Mailing Lists.
2. Select a list and create a segment based on campaign engagement.
3. Export the segment as CSV.

Using the Moosend API

1. Use the Campaign Activity endpoint.
2. Retrieve per-subscriber engagement data (opens, clicks, bounces).
3. Each record includes the subscriber's email address.
4. Save results as JSON.

How to Extract the Email Addresses

1. Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
2. Select "Text and files."
3. Upload the CSV file from Moosend. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
4. Click "Extract emails."
5. Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
6. Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.

Working with the Results

Engaged subscriber lists

Extract emails from subscribers who opened or clicked. Import into a CRM for sales follow-up.

Re-engagement

Extract emails from subscribers who did not open recent campaigns. Use for re-engagement with different content or channels.

Import into CRM

Import engaged subscriber emails into HubSpot, Salesforce or another CRM for relationship tracking.

Verify addresses

Recorded opens and clicks do not confirm a human reader or a currently reachable mailbox. Security scanners can generate clicks, and privacy features can generate opens; compare activity with replies or conversions before interpreting engagement. Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, custom fields, engagement metrics and other Moosend fields are not carried over.

Reports vs. list exports

Report exports show per-campaign engagement. List exports give the full subscriber list with all attributes. Choose based on your goal.
