How to Extract Emails from Podia Customers

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.
Why Extract from Podia?
Podia is a platform for selling online courses, digital downloads, webinars, coaching and community memberships. It provides a website builder, storefront, checkout, email marketing, community, affiliates and analytics. Podia stores customer email addresses for everyone who purchases, subscribes or joins the community.
Extracting email addresses from Podia data is useful for migrating to a different email marketing platform, consolidating customers across sales channels, building segmented lists by product or creating a backup.
How to Export from Podia
Exporting audience
- Log in to Podia.
- Go to Audience (or Email).
- Filter by segment (customers, subscribers, community members) if needed.
- Click Export to download as CSV.
- The CSV includes email, name, subscribed date, purchase history and other fields.
Exporting by product
- Go to the product's page in your dashboard.
- View enrolled students or customers.
- Export as CSV.
Exporting email subscribers
- Go to Email then Subscribers.
- Export the subscriber list as CSV.
How to Extract the Email Addresses
- Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
- Select "Text and files."
- Upload the CSV file exported from Podia. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
- Click "Extract emails."
- Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
- Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.
Working with the Results
Import into another marketing platform
Podia includes built-in email marketing. If you are moving to a more advanced platform (Kit, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp), extract all customer and subscriber emails and import them into the new platform.
Consolidate across platforms
If you sell on multiple platforms (Podia, Gumroad, Teachable, your own website), export from each and upload together. Deduplication shows your total unique email-address count.
This counts distinct email strings using case-insensitive matching, not distinct people. One person may have multiple addresses, and shared addresses may represent several people.
Segment by product type
Export customers for courses, downloads, webinars and community separately. Process each through Email Extractor for product-specific marketing.
Verify addresses
Customer emails are generally valid since they are used for purchase receipts and course access. Verification before campaigns is recommended. See Best email verification services.
Things to Know
Contact data is not preserved
Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, products purchased, enrollment dates, subscription status and other fields from the Podia export are not carried over.
Customers vs subscribers
Podia distinguishes between customers (who purchased) and email subscribers (who signed up for your list without purchasing). Both provide email addresses.
Community members
Podia's community feature collects email addresses. Community members may or may not be paying customers.
Free products
Podia supports free products and lead magnets. People who download free products are included in your audience with their email address.
Podia Email
Podia's built-in email marketing lets you send broadcasts and automated sequences. If migrating away from Podia Email, extract all contacts first.
Refunds
Refunded customers remain in your audience list. Their email addresses will be included in exports.
