Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs.

Why Extract from Sender Reports?

Sender provides campaign reports including opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes and heatmap data. Each report contains subscriber-level engagement data with email addresses.

While the general Sender export is covered in Extract Emails from Sender Export and automation data in Extract Emails from Sender Automations, this article focuses on report-specific exports for engagement-based lists.

How to Export from Sender

Exporting campaign activity

  1. Log in to Sender.
  2. Go to Campaigns then select a sent campaign.
  3. View the report showing opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes.
  4. Click on a metric to see the subscriber list.
  5. Export as CSV.

Exporting by engagement type

  1. Open a campaign report.
  2. Select Opened to see who opened the campaign.
  3. Select Clicked to see who clicked.
  4. Select Bounced or Unsubscribed to see those lists.
  5. Export each engagement list.

Using subscriber segments

  1. Go to Subscribers.
  2. Create a segment based on campaign engagement (opened, clicked, inactive).
  3. Export the segment.

Using the Sender API

  1. Use the Campaign Reports endpoint.
  2. Retrieve per-subscriber engagement data.
  3. Each record includes the subscriber's email address.
  4. Save results as JSON.

How to Extract the Email Addresses

  1. Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
  2. Select "Text and files."
  3. Upload the CSV file from Sender. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
  4. Click "Extract emails."
  5. Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
  6. Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.

Working with the Results

Engaged subscriber lists

Extract emails from subscribers who opened or clicked. Import into a CRM for sales follow-up.

Inactive subscriber management

Extract emails from subscribers with no opens. Use for re-engagement or list cleaning.

Import into CRM

Import engaged subscriber emails into HubSpot, Salesforce or another CRM.

Verify addresses

Recorded opens and clicks do not confirm a human reader or a currently reachable mailbox. Security scanners can generate clicks, and privacy features can generate opens; compare activity with replies or conversions before interpreting engagement. See Mailchimp’s explanation of automated opens and clicks and Apple’s explanation of background content loading. Bounced addresses should be removed. See Best email verification services.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, custom fields, engagement data and other Sender fields are not carried over.

Reports vs. subscriber exports

Report exports focus on per-campaign engagement. Subscriber exports give the full list with all attributes.
