How to Extract Emails from MailerLite Automations

On this page

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.

Why Extract from MailerLite Automations?

MailerLite is an email marketing platform with a visual automation builder. Its workflows trigger based on subscriber actions: joining a group, completing a form, clicking a link, reaching an anniversary date, updating a custom field and more. Subscribers progress through these workflows automatically, receiving emails and having tags or groups updated.

Extracting email addresses from MailerLite automation data is useful for auditing which subscribers completed a specific workflow, building follow-up segments, sharing data with teams outside MailerLite or analyzing workflow performance.

While the general MailerLite export is covered in Extract Emails from MailerLite Export, this article focuses on automation-specific data.

Things to Know

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, groups, custom fields, signup dates and other MailerLite data are not carried over.

Groups vs. segments

MailerLite uses groups (similar to lists or tags) and segments (dynamic filters). Automations typically add subscribers to groups. Export the group the automation populates.

Multiple automations

A subscriber can be in multiple automations simultaneously. They appear once in the extracted list after deduplication.
