How to Extract Emails from a Nimble CRM Export

On this page

Export and import options vary by plan, permissions and product version. Check the platform’s current help documentation if a menu or format differs. Use only contact data you are authorized to process; an extracted address is not proof of marketing consent.

Why Extract from Nimble CRM?

Nimble is a relationship-focused CRM that combines contact management with social media insights and email integration. It works within Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, pulling contact information from email, social profiles and other sources to build unified contact records. Nimble stores contact data that includes email addresses, phone numbers, social profiles, company details, tags, notes, deals and engagement history.

Extracting email addresses from Nimble data is useful in several scenarios.

Migrating to another CRM. When switching from Nimble to a different CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM), extracting email addresses helps verify that all contacts made it through the migration.

Building email campaign lists. If you want to email Nimble contacts through a dedicated email marketing platform, extracting gives you a clean list to import.

Consolidating contacts. If you use Nimble alongside other tools (an email platform, a help desk, a project manager), extracting from each and deduplicating reveals your total unique email-address count.

This counts distinct email strings using case-insensitive matching, not distinct people. One person may have multiple addresses, and shared addresses may represent several people.

Backing up contacts. Before changing plans, removing users or restructuring your CRM, extracting ensures you have an independent copy of every contact's email address.

How to Export from Nimble

Nimble allows you to export contacts.

Exporting contacts

  1. Log in to Nimble.
  2. Go to Contacts (the people or contacts view).
  3. Optionally apply filters or saved segments to export a subset.
  4. Click Export (or find the export option in the actions menu or under settings).
  5. Choose which contacts to export (all or filtered selection).
  6. Nimble generates a CSV file.
  7. Download the file.

Export fields

Nimble exports can include: email addresses (work, personal), first name, last name, company, title, phone numbers, social profiles (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook), address, tags, description/notes, last contacted date and custom fields. The exact columns depend on your Nimble configuration and the data Nimble has aggregated from various sources.

How to Extract the Email Addresses

  1. Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
  2. Select "Text and files."
  3. Upload the CSV file. Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
  4. Click "Extract emails."
  5. Review the results. Duplicates are removed automatically.
  6. Download as TXT for a plain list, CSV for a single-column spreadsheet, or CSV with sources.

Working with the Results

Combine with email platform data

Upload your Nimble export alongside an export from your email marketing platform. Deduplication creates a combined unique list. Compare the original exports separately to identify contacts missing from either list.

Compare with Google Contacts or Outlook

Nimble syncs with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. You may have contacts in both Nimble and your email client's contacts. Export from both, extract together, and deduplicate to make one unique list. Compare the original exports separately to identify overlap and contacts unique to each system.

Prepare for CRM migration

When migrating from Nimble to another CRM, extract from Nimble first. After the migration, extract from the new CRM too. Comparing both lists confirms migration completeness.

Verify addresses

Nimble aggregates contacts from many sources, including social media connections. Some of these contacts may have outdated email addresses. Run the extracted list through a verification service before using it for outreach. See Best email verification services.

Things to Know

Multiple email addresses per contact

Nimble contacts can have multiple email addresses (work, personal, other). All email addresses in the export are extracted. A contact with two email addresses contributes two entries to the extracted list.

Column headers are not extracted

CSV column headers from Nimble are text, not email addresses, so they do not appear in the extracted results.

Contact data is not preserved

Email Extractor outputs email addresses only. Names, companies, social profiles, tags, notes, deal information and engagement history from the Nimble export are not carried over. If you need those fields, import the original CSV directly.

Social contacts

Nimble's strength is its social media integration. Some contacts may have been created from social profile connections and may not have an email address. These contacts will not appear in the extracted results since there is no email to extract.

Nimble's contact enrichment

Nimble automatically enriches contact records with data from social profiles and public sources. This enriched data (company information, social bios, profile photos) is not included in a standard CSV export.

Contact limits

Nimble has contact limits that vary by plan. If you are approaching your plan's limit and want to verify your unique email count, extracting and deduplicating gives you an independent count.
