Why Payment Platforms Contain Customer Emails
Payment platforms collect email addresses during checkout, invoicing and subscription flows. Customers provide their email for receipts, order confirmations, subscription management and refund notifications. Over time, payment platforms accumulate a database of everyone who has paid you.
Extracting customer emails from payment platforms is useful for importing into a CRM or email marketing platform, building a customer mailing list, consolidating buyers across multiple payment processors, migrating to a new platform or creating a backup.

How to Extract from Any Payment Platform
The process is the same across platforms:
- Export customers, transactions or invoices from the payment platform as CSV.
- Go to bulkemailextractor.com.
- Select "Text and files."
- Upload the file (or files from multiple platforms). Up to 25 MB per file, 100 MB per batch.
- Click "Extract emails."
- Review the results. Duplicates across all files are removed automatically.
- Download as TXT, CSV, or CSV with sources.
Consolidating Across Payment Platforms
Many businesses accept payments through multiple platforms (Stripe for online, Square for in-person, PayPal as an alternative). Export customers from each and upload together. Deduplication creates a combined list of unique email addresses. Download CSV with sources and compare the source names to find addresses shared by the exports. Use the original transaction records to confirm purchases and match customers; unique addresses are not a count of unique people.
After Extraction
Build a customer mailing list
Payment platforms process transactions but most do not provide email marketing features. Import the extracted list into Mailchimp, Kit, ActiveCampaign or another platform for post-purchase sequences, product updates and customer engagement.
Import into a CRM
Import customer emails into HubSpot, Salesforce or another CRM for relationship management, lifetime value tracking and follow-up sequences.
Verify addresses
Customer email addresses provided during payment are usually valid because receipts are sent to them. Older records may be outdated. See Best email verification services.
Consider consent
Email addresses collected during payment were provided for transaction purposes. Using them for marketing may require additional consent depending on your jurisdiction. Check applicable regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASL).
